okay...heres the story..i was comin home from the varsity meet in atl ga, and right when i made a left into my neighborhood..my car shuts off..doesnt spudder doesnt bogg, just shuts off. i try to crank it..it just turns no crank, so i fill up half way w gas (was on 1/4 tank) and try again..still no crank just turns and turns and turns. next i checked the spark, got spark. so i rolled the car down the hill and popped the clutch, car starts! but jst shuts right back off after rpms drop. ive reset my timing, made better, new battery, made better, new starter, made better, i tried my fuel pressure , its there, i tried basically everything except pull out my injectors and see if they spray, tried my ecu, grounds, timing,sparks, oil,gas,starter,battery, everything, the car just turns but doesnt crank and if i jst hold it on turn it slowly dies...any suggestions anyone? PLEASE this is my daily driver to work and school and i am really really stuck..please help h-t family

When your car died the first time it Just shut off? Me and my friend were driving on the Interstate one time and her car Idled at a low rpm and then shut off. then when we tried to start it again all it did was turn. sometimes after waiting a bit we got the engine to turn over but it would die instantly. they told us the octane level was to low and the gas we were driving on was almost like water. so id say check your Octane level. make sure water didnt leak into the gas tank some how through the gas cap. and if it is that water somehow got into the engine well im not a mechanic so I cant really help you there. but atleast i gave you a direction :D hope it helps

You said timing is good, and spark is good...well that leaves only fuel....what kind of fuel pressure did it read...sounds like low fuel pressure, change your fuel filter see what that does for you.

also do u hear ur fuel pump prime when u turn the ignition on? ur fuel pump/fuse/clip might have gone out...

 

did all t hat...car still wont start!! bump!!

 

Please make a video...and post it, I want to hear the fuel pump prime, and the main fuel relay click, and I want to hear the engine, as you attempt to turn it on! Only then would I be able to help!

 

I would think it has to be fuel related... if you have a chilton's or any other manuel follow the diagnostics

 

Check rotor in cap!

Same happened to me and my rotor was broken!
I panicked like you!
And that was the last thing I checked too haha!

 

Yea check your rotor first i almost bet its off! it happens! then check tps sensor check the voltage it could be off and give starting issues as well.
