Default B18c5 JRSC Alternator pulley fitment help

Alright guys i am wondering your experiencences with the alterntor pulley fitment.

I am not sure the year of the c5 but i beleive its a jdm 97 motor. When trying to fit the jrsc pulley onto numerous of alternators the pulley bore is too big. I am wondering if we are missing a sleeve of some sort or if we need a specific alternator?

Apprently the engine is still orginal jdm c5 alternator but the pulley doesn;t fit on it and we have tried b18b,b18c, and various b16s. The shaft size was right one one of the b16s but the casing was totally different and didn't fit properly to tension it.

Unforuntly there are no aftermarket b18c5 alternators so we might have to get one from the dealer.

I e-mailed jrsc and waiting on a response

I was just wondering if someone has epxierenced this before???

It's been a while but I know the C5 alt is different than all the other B series alts. It's a Mistubishi and all the others are Nippon Denso. Did you buy the kit new or used? You will have to hunt around for that particular pulley or get a stepper pulley for it.

I got a ITR JRSC pulley at home in ottawa. It was on a ITR set up and ITR alternator. Can you take a pic of the pulley and measure it?

you need a usdm itr alternator, or get a new JRSC pulley for a b16 alternator, or get a $20 spacer from jim at motorvations motorsports, thats what I did for my b16 alternator

The kit is used unfortunetly but only for one season. I am begining to realize the differances in alternators as we were searching. Turns out we are going to order a remanufacter alternator from the dealer. Ther aftermarket does not supply one for a itr.

The C5 has a different alternator and different belt offset than any of the other B-series, and the alternator pulley is a different part number for the C5 kit.
