Is this just for cosmetic purposes?

Personally, I'd go ahead and install a rollbar to use a harness. At least that way you make the car safer instead of less safe. Either harness bar or rollbar, the back seat is not safe to use anyway, so you might as well protect yourself in a rollover.

Don't be stupid. Using racing harnesses with no rollover protection is pretty much just asking for death if the car is hit and rolls over.

yeah i agree on a full roll cage, but like i have in my drag car is a fish eye bolted to my frame. The setup for my DC2 is for mild street road racing through canyons and stuff, so i dont really wanna go full cage you know, just looking for something i can daily drive with and all

I never wrote "full roll cage". Just a rollbar for the back. 4 point, with a harness bar and a single diagonal would be sufficient for your desired use.

There's the advice. Here comes the chastising.

Then again, you did mention "street road racing" and canyons, which is dangerous and completely inconsiderate for the lives of others, and something that should be discouraged and not replied to. Maybe you should do the world a favor and just run the unsafe combination of a harness bar, fixed back seat, and no rollover protection.

Ok, I'm done. Take from that only what you desire to.

if you dont want to install a roll bar and want to choose between those harness bars then go with the sparco or NRG bar, the benen is just a b-pillar bar
