........i meant s1 trans......... im about to buy a jdm s1 trans for 92 da ls, my ? is that all i need is the trans or do i need a different shift linkage or axles, im pretty sure there the same but i need to make sure, and when i get a new clutch and flywheel is it the same to? im lookin to get exedy stage 1 and an act 10lb flywheel....and how can i tell if its jdm or usdm without taking it apart?

 

You can just swap the trans out but if it's a jdm tranny, then you will HAVE to buy a new clutch. The B16 s1 trannies were made 90-91 with small splines. If your old clutch fits onto the tranny, then it's a 92 or 93 ls tranny. Best way to check would be count the teeth on the gears.
