the needle goes up dont know y?
thermo n gasket is new.
hoses are good and connected properly
no water or greish color on the dipstick.
has 50/50 fluid.
3 relays wer replaced.
radiator is good.
the 2 sensors underneath the distributor
have been replaced but might be faulty i havent checked them.
what else could it be ???
maybe a a bad fan timer unit?

no white smoke but it does have all water and i know all water is no good but some people say its ok but idk i need to put fluid huh?
just take the thermostat out and drive it to see if it still overheats. if it doesn't, replace the thermostat. and use that 50/50 mix **** instead of water.
Are you sure that you installed the thermostat right side up? Make sure you burp the system correctly, air in the thermostat housing will cause overheating...

water is bad it cause me a water pump blade its completed rusted off i didnt know cause the last owner put straight water before i bought the car ........
what do u mean right side up???and if i do remove the thermo how long should i use it without or how do i examine that? the burping its fine i checked that but i do nned to put coolant first if it doesnt go down then ill take off the thermo n drive it to see if it still overheats right? is that what i should do?
next time take the radiator cap off and start engine and observe when the car gets up to operating temp to see if the water circulates. if it doesn't and if your thernostat is new, you have a restriction of flow in the coolant system. Could be the radiator
i just picked up my car from the mechanic and he said that the radiator was good thermo was good n gasket n hoses too. he told me he changed 3 relays for the fan and cooling i dont know the specific ones but they say the fans work now and i havent seen them come on but i feel like there full of bullshit so how could i test n see what the problem is i know its not the burping it does all water n new thermo but it might be faulty. or what about the ect and the one next to it is there like the OhMZ thing or amps to test it? there both new but could be faulty too much fustration but thanks everyone
thats another thing the mechanic said that the guage might not get enough resistance or too much resistance to try n change it but i dont want to do something if its not going to work u know.
dude start ur car let it run till the guage goes up... u said it takes 2 mins for ur guage to go up so wen u see the guage goes up pop the hood touch ur engine. if its not hot ur gauge doesnt work and if ur engine is super hot than it does work. o and touch the radiator to. really quick so u dont get burned haha
update, i replaced the new thermo with the old one, overheating still occurs.
i put 50/50 fluid, overheating still occurs.
system has been bled.
what relays go to the fan?
where are the relays?
i found the main assembly relay does that have anything to do with the problem?
what is the main assembly relay for?
how can i test the main assembly relay?
how can i check them?

only thing i can think of is ur head gasket is leaking water into ur oil still. to check this let ur engine run for about five mins or intill it gets hot. take off the oil cap...if its watery than ur head gasket is still messed up. did u have a HEAD GASKET JOB dont recently???
naw bro u know what i read that if u take the cap off the radiator and start the car and the water pushes up ur gasket is gone if it stays put its fine.
NO my car doesnt leak anywhere.
mechanic said he did a compression test on the cooling lines.
could it be the fan timer relay?

just try wat i said in the other post i put. let it heat up take the oil cap off if its watery its ur headgasket. even if ur cars water system wasnt working properly it shouldnt over heat in 2 mins thats to quick.
Pick up some Fleetcharge from Tractor Supply Co, mix it 50/50 and use it as your coolant. Check to see if your fans are running..open your hood, you can either wait for it to heat up, then the fans will come on..or force the fans to come on quicker, move the throttle to give it some gas, and let it sit at 3k rpm for a minute, the fans should come on. Also, what does "overheating" mean to you, is the needle pinned to the right? or is it just going to the middle? You need to make sure the water pump is doing it's job as well... if the pump isn't pushing fluid through the system, the thermostat doesn't matter. You also need to pick up a helms manual: helminc.com , that'll tell you exactly how to test relays and so forth.
i was told by the mechanic, (this is whats fustrating me) he said he changed 3 relays and when i asked him wich ones he couldnt show me, only one he said. what he said: the fans work but car still overheats. but i personally havent seen the fans kick on since ive had the car. so its like i paid for "relays" and i dont know which ones and the fans still dont turn.
