Default new mods and less power. why?

its been a long time since ive posted on the performance of my itr. my previous setup when i went to get my car tuned at evans tuning was toda spec a cams, spoon cam gears, t1r header test pipe exhaust, and aem cai. my car came out tuned at 192whp and 136wtq. i was very pleased with that number but still wanted to try to push for close to 200whp. i ended up selling my t1r header and buying a toda header. i also bought 310 rc injectors. when i went back to tune my new setup i made 190whp and 128tq. why did my numbers go down? i know its not by much but i thought the header would help along with the added injector size. do i get the t1r header back?? put the stock injector back?? any ideas? losing 8 pounds of torque is a significant drop.. i was hoping to be around 200whp with 140. that was my goal considering the upgrade i did..

different days and different conditions for the dyno perhaps?

i'd stay with your Toda header over the taiw-one-racing header.

have you played with your cam gears while on the dyno? with the Toda A's, i'm thinking you have at least a bit of valve-to-valve clearance.

forgot to ask, but any reason you went with the larger injectors? do you have a FPR as well? i thougth the stock ITR injectors were good for at least 210whp? what were your a/f's like on the last dyno run?

Toda A, over rated.
with my own two eyes seen stockers make more power then A's.

dyno was same, but weather I bet wasn't. Was is a corrected chart?

i went with bigger injectors cuz he told me i was almost at full duty cycle with the stocks. fpr is still stock. toda spec A's are not overated cuz i made almost 10hp and my midrange was alot better. i just dont know why the hp and tq was decreased with that setup. i went to the dyno last week after almost 2 years and got the same the same results. 191.6 whp and 127.9tq.. they were all in sae corrected.

consider this your tune was 2 yrs ago im sure you have been beating on the car here and there, its making a **** hair less power due to wear and tear, also you would have to replicate the same exact type of day weather wise to really be able to compare the two sessions

I wouldn't be too upset. The % difference between the two sets of numbers is not material.

If you are looking for some low-buck mods to get you closer to your number maybe try the following:
1. Bore out the TB
2. Hondata IM gasket
3. Oil change
4. Fresh plugs
5. Mugen head gasket - although not all that cheap to install
6. More tuning

In the end you aren't going to see any major gains from where you are, so maybe just be happy that you have a nice strong motor.

you'll probably lose more power. your car is tuned on the 310 injectors

Don't do that!

Your car will be running very lean if you swap the stock injectors back.

Why would you go through all the trouble for 2 whp? Leave the injectors and get better cams like rocket motorsports or something.

I live 15 minutes from Evans. Let me know the next time you are in the area.

Definitely don't replace that Toda. Again and Again it has been proven to be the best off the shelf header. As Clayton already pointed out, the percentage in change is minimal. Do you feel like the car is slower? I'll be surprised to hear you answer yest.

Dyno's are strange like that. A different day, different temps, different oil level, different :insert whatever: can yield different results.

Don't get upset, there is nothing out of the ordinary taking place here.

evans doesnt tune for neptune anymore. i would have to buy the s300 and get it tuned from there. its going to cost around 1100 for that setup. im about to put my motor back to stock specs and sell what i have. my question now is if i put my motor back to stock and leave my toda spec a cams in there set to 0,0 would i throw a cel? ill be switching back to obd2.. it just doesnt make sense swapping my cams out for itr cams cuz their similiar and im still using itr valvetrain.
