Default How to release fuel pressure on Accord 97

The service manual and Haynes book say to release fuel pressure you need to do:

1. disconnect negative battery cable
2. remove fuel filler cap
3. loose 6mm service bolt on fuel rail

My car is accord 97 4 door LX, the engine is F22B2. I did not find the fuel service bolt. The '1994-97 Honda Accord Fuel Filter" in FAQ only says removing fuel tank gas cap. Is it OK just to do the 1 and 2 to release the fuel pressure?

No you still have to release the pressure between the fuel pump and fuel rail. The service bolt is on the fuel rail right beside the fuel line entering the rail from the filter. If you can't find that another way to do it is to.
1. Put a wench on the fuel rail hose end bolt,
2. Wrap the wrench and fuel rail end with a shop towel (this will keep fuel from spraying in your face)
3. Loosen the fuel rail hose end bolt, you should see the rag will get wet with fuel. That means the pressure has been relieved from the system.
