ebay turbo's?
The kit itself CAN be alright.
The turbos are usually cheap and will smoke/self-destruct.
Sometimes if you just rebuild them with better seals that will work fine.
Basically as BBallz said, you get what you pay for.

You should go search the Forced Induction forums, there was a thread or three about ebay turbo's. Pretty much everyone said it was a hit or miss, but my experience is a good one with one.

The bearings are cheap quality and oiling capabilities are less compared to good quality ones. My buddy has an ebay one that spins real nice and has no freeplay but you never know. If you are willing to take a chance than go for it but if you want it to be relaible for sure spend the money on a good one.
its hard to find but wait until someone puts their turbo kit on ebay used vs. the ebay brand kits, i got a really good deal on mine, and the guy put some money into the turbo kit he was sealing already. f23 and f22 are not much in demand so you can bid on a used kit for pretty cheap.
I've been running a E-bay turbo for 17,000 miles now with no problems. Let me add I'm only running 9psi. I have several bud's running around town with the same turbo with little or no problems. I will say if you run high boost levels they will go out (leak oil) with a year or so worth of driving. People that bash the E-bay stuff prolly don't know how to tune well so thats where there problems begin. I've had personal experience with a bunch of E-bay turbo's making in the 250-350whp range with no problems. If your looking for more power get something else.
