i have a 1993 del sol s model with a d15 , bought it this weekend and found out the trans is shot it was filled with 90w gear oil to keep it silent , well now im stuck do i replace the trans or i have a full b16a with a b17 crank and 99 b16trans ,but dont know what else i need??? also can i get away with making it smog legal in california ,,, if im asking questions that are so basic there stupid --- sorry --- new to the motorswap thing,, thanks guys

 

i dont think the modified b16 you have will pass the bar, to make things legal you have to swap all the emissions parts from a donor car in your case you have to have all the emissions stuff related to the 94-95 dohc vtec del sol

 

i have a obd 1 wire harness , distributor, and ecu , besides that what else smog related would i need? ,, thanks for help with all these basics
