Launching question
So I recently bought my frst honda, it's a 97 integra gsr, it has a skunk2 intake manifold, and aem short ram air intake, a comptech 4-2-1 header, a comptech cat-back exhaust, and a set of progress lowering springs. It has the stock 15x6 wheels and a set of falken ziex 195-55-15 tires. With this car and these mods what is the best way to launch? I will be racing at the CMI north vs south on the 30th and dont want to look like a complete fool.
p.s. I have raced for many years but with a front engine rear drive V8 never in a front engine front wheel drive 4 cylinder.
Thanks for any help and advise you can give.

I'll take a guess 6800rpm if that's to much try something lower, if it's not enough try a little more.
Every car is a little different. If you can you should go to a track a practice before the "big race". You'll learn more doing that then anyone here can tell you.
There's also pre-loading but not sure if you have enough HP to worry about that.
More guy's will check in here soon.

But yes, practice and seat time makes perfect, take it out and run it, run it, run it! ;-)

Start at a little higher than peak torque and if it bogs, try a little higher. If you keep the engine speed around peak torque, you're producing the most amount of thrust when you become power-limited, so if you drop below it, you won't be as fast. The same goes for launching too high, but if the engine bogs, it might be the fastest way to go.
thanks for all of your suggestions, I think I'll start at 4k and go from there. When you say don't slip the clutch but don't drop it either do you mean to let it out fast but don't just let my foot off? I'll make a few test launches one of these evenings and let you guys know what happens.
