Default d16z6 turbo build

Ok I am building a turbo z6 (9 psi tb22, e85, stock rods) and I have a couple of pistons to chose from I have.

p28
pm6
pm7

I was wondering what one is practical? Also the valve relive cuts are different in the pm6 and 7. Will thy even work in a z6? I am also running into a problem with crank walk spec is 18 max I am at 25? New thrusts 2 block and 2 cranks now all the same 25-26.

if I were you I would also upgrade the rods even at 9 psi, once you feel boost then eventually you'll want more. Or at least put some ls rods in it. pistons wise I would go with the p28, pm6 and pm7 would raise the compression in your motor. I think the p28's in the z6 block with head has like a 9.2:1 or 9.5:1 which is good for boost

Well the JE/Weisco/SRP are forged aluminum where as the vitara’s are cast aluminum, forged is much stronger. We use vitara’s bacause

* yes it lowers C/R to a much more boost friendly level, although 9:1 will be the lowest I go from now on.

* the ringlands are (supposedly) thicker than the factory honda pistons, ringlands are usually the first thing on the pistons to break with the stockers.

* they’re cheap and they fit.
