you will have a code for a cylinder misfire if you did this. the engine will be down on power and will not idle correctly or rev correctly

well it won't do any of what you said but no code for misfire. and the idle you can forget about adjusting.

We need more info on your problems! so is it a idle problem? if you had a cracked or bent valve it will either sound like you have a suburu wrx or it wont even start if theres enough bent valves and or your timing belt snaped causing the valves to bend.

no timing belt never snapped no contact. if you adjust the idle ends up right back where it was. but I did crack #3 cylinder on my old bottom end. but that was because I had higher compression and tried to be an idiot and turbo it.. but then rebuilt a new block and started this crap. put it back 100% stock and still doing it.. checked all sensors still doing it checked timing everything good. its still acting a fool.

we still don't know where "idle was" is?

what's the car doing and why is it a problem?

idles like its missing. won't rev past 1000 rpms. stalls from idle. can't even drive it.. due to bogging over 1000 smells rich but wideband says lean when bogging.

fuel pump, fuel pressure, fuel injectors, fuel filter are the first places i would start

if that isn't it i would then move to ignition and the distributor, wires and plugs

already pulled head off. exhaust valves don't look so hot. putting another head I know is good on.

Yeah a compression test would at least rule out mechanical problems. Double check the map/tps. Especially tps output. Make Model and year setup would be very very helpful. More info for better help.

ohm meter will help most of the time. chances are 3 of the 4 will test one value and the 4th will be off. i can't remember the exact value or i'd tell ya. a used set of known good injectors normally is only $50, i'd buy those if you could. maybe one of the JDM importers like hmotorsonline has a set they would sell ya

Start the car.. Listen to each fuel injector. You can do this by placing a long screwdriver against the fuel injector one by one and put your ear against the other end. You should hear a definite clicking noise repeatedly from each injector. If you notice one is not clicking there is your area of attention. Most likely #3 injector is going to have some damage. Anyway, measure resistance of the injector that is not clicking. Resistance should be 10-13 ohms if not 10-13 ohms then replace the injector. If resistance is in spec then you either have an open wire to power/ ecm or a bad ecm. Again #3injector is the #1 suspect.Good luck and follow up.

already done that. injectors are new. were 450's when i cracked the cylinder. when I put it back factory I bought these. i'm leaning towards a stretched timing belt considering how many times its been on and off in the past year. a honda technition friend of mine suggested it and explained why and fits all the symptoms.

here is what I have checked.
1. injectors
2. map sensor
3. timing and belt new
4. fuel pump 70psi wich is way high.
5. fpr still has way high pressure
6.tps and dizzy still has same damn problem. also checked cat and exhaust. I have also checked for vacuum leak. fuel filter and fuel lines. compression is 190 psi with 1 or 2 psi difference between cylinders. changed out head to eliminate valves . I adjusted valves with new head gasket. and still doing same damn thing. I mean what else is there? i've even changed ecu 3 different times.

did you change the fuel filter and monitor pressure?

i almost wonder if you have a bad ecu. it's very rare but ghost codes are common when ecu's die in other makes. the timing belt also could make sense if it's allowing the cams to get a degree or two off. however, it should still pull WOT. think about it. with adj gears you can go 1,2,3 degrees and effect power sure but it still pulls to redline.

not 3 different ecu's. timing is dead on. fuel pressure is way high. replaced fuel pressure regulator and still high. checked all lines no crimps. changed filter and injectors no change. blew air through all lines and still remains.
