94 civic ex coupe. It appears that mine is leaking, oil spills onto exhaust j pipe. And under my IM it is oily as heck. I wanted to tackle it after work but was wanting to wait for the weekend if I had to remove the intake manifold

nope.. you DO have to remove the support brace that's bolted to the underside of the manifold though.. The breather box is usually bolted to it since the intake brace supports the breather as well..

I know alot of people that ditch the brace all together.. it's not a smart idea since harmonics can fatigue the intake and cause it to crack.

All this is accessible from under the car, as if changing your oil filter.

So do you think I will be able to knock this out in 3-4 hours. I have decent tool set and have replaced, brakes, oil pan gaskets, radiators, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, replaced shocks. just to give you an idea of my competence. Any special tools needed?

12mm socket, ratchet, long extension (To get the 1-2 bolts under intake) and maybe a screw driver or small pry bar to get the box to pop out.. MAYBE a new oil filter if you have to remove your old one for clearance.

after you're on jackstands, it shouldn't take you 10 minutes to remove the box..

Are you sure the oil isn't leaking from the valve cover or oil pan?

I have already replaced the gaskets for the VC,oil pan, and vtec solenoid. so the only other place i can think of is that chamber. btw, that chamber and chamber area under the IM is covered in oil. Oil leaks and runs down into my driver axle seal area and j pipe of my exhaust. what else could it be besides the rear main seal?

It sounds like you have it covered. You might also check oil leaking from the distributor, oil filter, and the oil pressure switch.
