Default Mugen CRX Racecar Build - PICS ADDED

Friend and I decided that we will take on a CRX Track Car project together and have some fun locally. I did some running around last couple weeks around the organising we visited the current owner to see our new project car.. and agreed to take delivery this week.

Bit of background history:

Build and raced by MUGEN in Japan in the 80s, in 1989 it arrived in Perth, West OZ and was raced by a couple race car drivers until finding a bit of rest in 2005. 4yrs later we're going to take it out of retirement, and hope have it on the track for some fun very soon.
Its fully caged and log booked, ZC motor, but we might stick either a B16A or B18C into it - however it comes with plenty of spares including a ZC motor, spare head, extractors, MUGEN cams, race gbox with LSD and so on..

more pics below

Cheers
Mike

Car arrived at the workshop this morning, we had to clean out the inside as it was full of 'bits' including about 4 sets of driveshafts...

things we noticed: no rear brakes on the car, no exhaust, wicked rollcage and massive 150L long range fuel tank

interesting combination: browntop block/blacktop head/browntop dissy/browntop CG LSD Gbox

thats it for now... we're planning a plan of action - harness is first - getting rid off all the useless stuff!

I'm envious. Those spare Mugen cams and LSD oughta fetch a pretty penny should you care to part with them.

Yesterday we installed 4x Tokico Illuminas, Integra Rear axles and discs, handbrake lines and handbrake leaver (if you look at the first pics it doesn't have a handbrake at all), front integra brakes and likely to have Prelude calipers with bigger pads and we got some 21mm torsion bars in there too - reindexed down one spline so it sits much much lower now.
