vtec GOOD OR BAD for turbo?
sohc vtec isn't as bad as dohc vtec, the bad thing about vtec is that you will have increased chances of 'blow-by' or whatever its called. someone else will elaborate...
Its not a metter of good and bad, it a matter of what is better or worse. Your gonna see power and run some Mustangs off the road, but the question is, for how long? Like he said, an Integra LS is more likely to hold boost and not throw a bearing since it is a DOHC non vtec. But a GSR will respond better to boost, but since the higher compression piston, not to mention dohc vtec, its gonna blow a lot sooner.
higher compression pistons + forced induction= detonating
forget vtec if you are going with a turbo...it is just more to go wrong and **** up in the long run...

good topic.
but.. if you were going to build a motor with no limitations unlimited resources and such and given the motors not daily driver would you still go non-vtec for turbo, or would the vtec motor make more power on a short term timeline.
