Recommend me Component Speakers to Run Off Head Unit Amp
What do you guys think about the Alpine Type S components? Pretty efficient or too power hungry?
Any suggestions/input appreciated

my type s co-axials sounded like crap with just deck power. So I would say no. Even if you have to get a 50x2 (good brand) it will be better than deck power.

The Type S are fairly efficient, but I would reccomend a external amplifier with just about any aftermarket component set for best results.

Thanks guys. I was trying to keep this under budget of around $400. Are there any decent 2 channel amps that you have had experience with?
The rear speakers I am not too worried about, they're just fill for me so Ill use my deck amp.

Running Alpine CDA 9853 HU, Soundstream 12" sub in a false floor enclosure. I was kind of warry about running 2 amps but it seems this is needed.
Happy with bass, but my midbass and highs are kind of lacking. I listen to mostly rock. I want some brightness and good mid bass if that helps. Someone recommend the Polk DB components.

DC4, I have Alpine Type S co ax all around. They're ok I guess but I want to hear cymbals crashing and clearer highs.
Any other info I am missing?

most speakers or going to need a amp to sound the best.
but they want 2-90 rms.. they are good speakers tho.
you really should look into a four channle amp.

those would work well.
With that said, without an amp, [2x100W RMS into 2 ohms] you will not be able to drive them to their full "potential" and for that accurate sound, [clarity] you need power, [wattage] to give you the dynamic headroom needed for clear accurate sound. 94
