Wastegate spring, anyway of measuring PSI??
I have a couple of wastegate springs I bought a couple of years ago and am wanting to use them but I have no idea what PSI they are, is there a technical way of measuring this? I have searched the faq but couldnt see a topic relating to this. My guess is you'd put some weight on the spring and measure how much it contracts by. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

I found this for suspension springs

Im guessing its a simalar technique for other springs. If anyone has a homebrew method i'd love to know
Cheers

Tial has a master list of every spring and every spring rating combo according to whichever Tial wastegate you have..
of course, this will vary depending on how much creep your setup has..
Why not just get a good Electronic boost controller, put a small spring in and use the controller to control the boost..
I have a small spring in mine and just use the Boost control with my S300. It keeps great boost levels.

I had a wg that I didn't know what spring it had. I used a tire valve, 1/8npt fitting, hose and hose clamps. Connected it to a digital air chuck and tested it that way. Found out after a few tries that it's a 12 psi spring.
