what happens if water gets on your cams and belt?
hi all, so just yesterday i got stuck in the sand on the beach. when i finally got out my engine was covered with sand so just dismorning i hosed all the sand away but forgot i had my valve cover cut out so you can see the cam gears. will water cause damage if its around where the timing belt travels?
You should have seals on the backsides of the cam gears, that's what holds the oil in, remember? I'd let it dry out and take it easy for a while, and keep your *** out of the sand, that's a Honda not a tonka toy
yeah i do remember. what i was worried about is maybe belt slipage or somthing
