Default Buddy of mine is gettin a 93 Si

He's got $2000 to spend on it right off the bat, it should be alright cosmetically as its about to be repainted. What would you guys suggest spendng the dough on? He's really wanting to do a VTEC conversion, think he could get the job done with $2000 bux give or take a few hundred?

I wouldn't paint an old car but that's just me (and I own a 93 VTEC.) The swap costs about $3k plus installation, figure $1k to have a shop do it.

what else would you all do to a 93 Si, givin the money and the car? I'm just tryng to help him to have some direction, as to where he should begin.

Maybe I could talk him into a giant wing

i've got all the stuff needed to do a swap into his car. check out my post, link is at the bottom. all he'll need is some valves, not too expansive. if he does it himself then he'll even have money left over.

forget the VTEC conversion and tell him to turbo. he can find used turbo kits for about $2000-2500 and if he can install it himself than no need to worry about installation price. i always loved turboed Si's....
