D16a6 bottom end with d16y8 head/IM. P28 ECU, d16z6 dizzy, stock a6 injectors and resistor box.

It appears its running EXTREMELY rich for some reason and I can't figure out why. After sitting for awhile it will crank over momentarily but then die a few seconds later. Then every attempt after that it will barely try and turn over but struggle harder and harder each time like the starter is struggling to turn. I think it's running crazy rich because it's getting good spark and the spark plugs smell really strong of gas.

Please HELP.

if you figure out the problem, let me know. I have the same exact problem and i dont think its the spark plugs. That has nothing to do with the fuel system... but aye, when you crank it, does it bog or when you press the gas pedal, it just dies?

 

ive played with a lot of mini mes sounds like timing to me..... be absolutely sure its on tdc and make sure the belt is tight... if that doesnt work check your firing order on the dizzy thats what it sounds like to me
