Need help wont rev past 3000 no code
Ok like the title said I have a D16Z6 that wont rev past 3000 and the idle is a little rough. I thought it was my TPS sensor (damaged during swap) I replaced it but no change anyone have any Ideas. I search on here and saw some one mention the distributor does any one know how I could test this.
does the speedometer jump at all? If so, it could be Vehicle Speed Sensor. my buddies speedo jumped and he could not rev past a point, so he just replaced his VSS and it corrected the problem.

make sure the spark plug wires are in the right order... also disconnect the battery and hold the negative and positive cabels together for 2 mins and then reconnect it and start the car and rev it up.... this will reset the ecu
A buddy of mine has another ECU going to swap that tomarrow yes the speedo does jump around I just picked up a VSS sensor at autozone going to install it tomarrow
To answer your question the motor is clean no mods yet.
If any one can think of any thing else I would appreciate it. I will let you all know if any of this helps.
