Help with boosted d16z6 in limp mode?
Hi guys iv tried searching for and found alot of people with some what of the same problem but i cant seem to fix it.
The problem is that it wont let me move past 5000rpm it sounds like it hits a rev limiter. It was giving me the speed sensor code so i went and changed it and it worked for about an hour and was letting me go past 5000rpm. Then the speed sensor and gauge stopped working and back to ****, but every now and then the speedometer will jump like it wants to start working. I believe the speed sensor is one that was spliced in if that matters. Iv checked all the wiring and behind the cluster to see if it was plugged in all the way. Any type of help will be greatly appreciated.. Any questions let me know pls, id really like to solve this without having to take it to a shop.

what's your ecu chipped with?
what's your launch control set at? if the speed sensor goes bad... wouldn't your computer think it was stopped, hence the launch control kicking in?

and it couldn've have been the speed sensor cause i had my stock virgin p28 too, and when i plug that in it's fine. just becareful who chips your ecu, cause it might be an poor soldering skill.
