Fog Light Problem...Please Help!
Hey guys, I have a 97 hatch with the jdm foglights. I bought the car with them installed already, so I personally did not wire them up.
My problem is that I had both fogs originally working with the stock bulbs....I installed an HID plug and play kit in, and only the passenger side works...the driver's side is dead. I also installed the stock bulbs again without the HID harness (so back to orginal) and the bulb would not turn on anymore.
I have retraced the wiring a million times it seems, checking all the grounds on the bulbs themselves, and on the chassis and wiring. I have traced the grounds and it looks like there is no break in the wiring.
My question is, could it be the relay that went bad? I presumed that if the relay went bad, both sides would stop working. If the fuse was blown, both lights would not be on correct?
I presume the switch works since the pass side turns on. I presume the ground is good since the pass side works.
How can I check if power is getting to the harness with my multimeter?
Thoughts, suggestions? I have been searching and am still looking as you read this...
TIA,
-Shawn

BTW, I am going to test it with the multimeter this weekend to see if I have power going to the plug...I'll let you guys know what comes of that...
I'd hate to run new wires to make it work, but it might be worth it if I can't get a simple fix

Alright, I give up. Can anyone link me to a simple wiring diagram to start from scratch? I can't find the problem, so Id rather start from the beginning and do it right
