da out with old motor in with new
i have a 90 ls teg. fryed a piston and messed up all the walls. i was gunna buy a newer b18b for 500 bucks and attempt too install it myself with a friend. but my friends mechanic said he can get me a legit engine and guarantee his work for at the MOST 900 dollars. or should i just try to do this my self. if its a good deal ill do it, but im pretty sure i can do the swap myself. just trying to save a hassle if it would cost less for him too do everything. any suggestions?
if your a good handy man and know your cars then go for it. If its your first time you'd better get directions on how to swap. I know that 90 integra's are OBD0 and B18B's are i think OBD1 or 2's so your gonna definetly need a ECU and probley all the jumper wires to up you OBD

And as for the B18A being OBD-0 and the B18B OBD-2 is not a problem, your just gonna have to swap over somethings off your old longblock and just run the ECU you have no need for a P75 and buy that OBD0-OBD1 harness.

well then there is only one way to find out if your is an OBD0 or OBD1. The plugs on the distributor will answer that question, if the plugs on your distributor are round then you got a OBD0. If the plug are square then you got an OBD1. ***Im pretty sure you know what plugs im talking about right?***

do you know how to swap? if yes do it yourself, if no then let your buddy do the swap for you and have it legit and save you the hard work or else you can find all the information on swappin your motor from google, or either get a repair manual book for 20-40bucks and do it yourself that way you'll learn from time to time. :D
