HELP with timing ZC 1.6 liter MOTOR

Default HELP with timing ZC 1.6 liter MOTOR

Everytime we line it up we tighten it and it's 1-2 teeth off! what do we do?

Yeah they're a PITA. Make sure your arrows are up, and this is where the markings for the head should be:

Just note that if the inside marks are aligned with the head, then the outside marks of the cam gear won't be aligned with the head. (the 9'oclock mark on the exhaust cam, and 3oclock on the intake cam)

that is correct - they will be one tooth above the top of the head
