Fuel pump or relay????HELP!!! My baby is sitting in a BAD neighborhood
OBD I b18c1 swap died while driving, started, died again and will not start. I can't pull the codes because they wont flash(wired to flash on dash). I believe it's the pump but... I cant hear it kick on like I was able to before. It is the d series pump...any ideas guys? I would hate to lose her from sitting in the wrong place and cant move it till tomorrow
Check for 12V power at the fuel pump connector during the first several seconds after the key is turned to position II (the pump should run for a few seconds initially and then shut off)). If there is no power, it is most likely that the main relay is faulty. If there is power, the fuel pump is faulty. As mentioned above, double check by applying 12V power directly to the pump to see if it runs.
thanks for the help guys....looks like ill have to wait til tomorrow anyway and pray she's still there in the morning! and thanks again targa250r your replies are always helpful.
