The three external drive belts in the left front side of my 4 cycl engine started making loud noise a while back, and I found out that the bearing of my AC compressor is jammed today (probably been a while now).

I unplug the AC Compressor, is it okay to drive with it unplug? Will this deteriate other systems?

I smelled some bad burning plastic smell in the last 2 days, is that mean my belt is about to go out??

How much is the AC compressor is going to cost me, I will have to have a local garage do it...
