LS and GSR cases the same? scychros?
Alright, so last year i blew apart my gsr tranny with like 300k on it, let it sit out in the rain in my metals pile for crushing, and end of last year my differential pin blew out of my ls, so i had that welded put the motor back in my car got it runningand my ls was stuck in 3rd or 4th, so today i took apart my gsr trans and nothing is wrong with any of the gears just the differential, so is all those gears changeable, like could i put both shafts in the ls case and use the gears? the outside cases both say ysk 1 so yeah.
I found out why the ls wouldnt shift, i had the middle shift fork upside down, stupid!
another thing, looking at the gsr gears, the bigger shaft is sitting up like just a dime up, the gsr is flush with the 2 washers under it...what do i do there?
Only thing with the ls is the 3rd gear sychro is gone, so i was just going to take them all out and put the 2 gsr shafts and fork in there along with reverse gear and use the ls differential...what do you guys think?
