No oil in car when running?

Default No oil in car when running?

i might be wrong or i might not know anything about a honda. but when my 94 integra isn't running and i check my oil stick, there is oil on it. but when i start the car, let it run for a min or two and then check the stick again. there isnt' any oil on the stick. is it suppose to do that? or somtin wrong? sorry if its a stupid question.

any idea? if i don't know if that is a problem then i'm going to get rid of the car

if you burn though that much oil in a minute or two you have a problem

as long as the oil is at the at the right amount when the car is off you are fine. when the car is running the oil is circulating around in the engine so there isn't much in the bottom of the crankcase for the dipstick to reach.

I always start the car for a few seconds then check the oil so I make sure some oil is in the upper parts of the engine but that's just me
