Default Crack in tranny weld or no

Hey guys I kinda have a issue here. Earlier this year I was driving my teg in the snow for the first time and I lost it and smacked a curb. When I hit the curb my front end went just over it and hit my tranny on it. So now I have the tiniest little crack on the bottom of my tranny. It is on a flat spot about 2 inches long and ever so skinny. I tried JB it slowed the leaking down A LOT. But it is still leaking. Is it okay/possible to weld it up or not. Thanks HT

People weld tranny cases all the time for various reasons, guess if its leaking what can it hurt?

long as it's not in a crucial area you will be just fine.

It can be welded. But you have to take the trany out, disasemblle it, clean it really good and then weld it.

You will not be able to weld it with the trans installed on the car. All that oil will penetrate trough the crack and not weld at all.
