I went to start the car and it was idling a little rough and it through a CEL. I let it run for a bit and it ran fine after it warmed up a little, but while it was warming up the distributor was making a clicking noise.

The CEL was missfire in cylinder 1 and 3, and possible ignition problem. Spark plugs are new so that's not it.

I'm pretty sure my distributor is taking a ****. Anyone think it could be something else?

 

I changed the cap and the rotor and it is running fine now, but the distributor is cattery. Anyone find a remedy for this other than getting a new one?
