ok so recently my sol has been having troubles going into 2nd and today i thought my tranny took a dump on me but im not sure... anyways what its doing: it will drive at top speed of maybe 15 and the clutch doesnt seem to be doing anything.. and i can have it in gear with out the clutch down while at a complete stop? does this sound like the clutch is f'ed or the tranny is?

 

How does your clutch pedal feel? is it firm or does it need to be bled?

If its firm then yea the clutch is ****ed. if you put it into 1st gear and let the clutch all the way out and its reving past 4000rpm just to move at 3 MPH then its fried.

 

well when i thought it first took a dump the pedel felt real f'ed up i dont know how to explain how it felt and then it feels basically normal now but i can let it out as fast as i want and it wont stall or make any difference. i was driving at like 3k RPM going maybe 15 and it didnt matter what gear i would go into. so yeah im really thinking it the clutch... kinda hoping thats all it is too

 

yea, the pressure plate probably took a **** on you.

not to hard to change. get a aftermarket clutch though.
