Default over heating?

hey guys i just rebuilt a d16y8 and i installed it into my hatch, and know when i turn it on it runs fine, but after i drove it around the block i noticed it was leaking coolant from somewere under the distributor and is leaking down the VIN and were it says d16y8, also when i took the oil cap off of the valve cover, smoke comes out of it. i have hondata and the water temp gets to about 200 degrees farenheit. i was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and what was there solution, i just want to make sure i didnt put anything on wrong.
Thanks for any help.

check your thermostat/thermostat housing. Also check the upper hose, if you are using the stock spring clamp, ditch it for an adjustable hose clamp. The spring clamp is a better design, but just like any other part after so many years they tend to fail.
