Default horn replacement anyone?

everyone that has an R knows how the horn sounds like a clown car. after having the car for over 3+ years i have decided to change it out haha.

has anyone done this before? i was thinking of just using an accord horn.

if anyone has done this, any advice would be great.

thanks

Does the Hella sound anything like a later model Ferrari? I love those horns.

i had the trumpet style horns from the parts store on my hatch. the ones with the little electric compressor. I loved it and it was SO LOUD lol...considered putting them on my R, but im fine for now. Horn sounds like every other honda to me.

i saw a DIY with the accord 09 horn into a fit so im assuming its the same. there was a writeup in the fit forums which looks like just unbolt and rebolt so yeah.

just wondering if anyone did it and such.

Any accord, tl, rl, etc from 00 and up has a trumpet style horn which is very loud. I replaced mine with one from a 00 3.2 tl. Some of these horns are a two wire set up and the oem R horn is a one wire setup, which uses the mounting point as ground. For the accord/tl horn, just gound one wire on the chassis and the other wire to the oem single horn wire... and thats it.
