Default distributor help

I know there are 2 different dizzys for a 1.6. was wondering if any one knew if there is any kind of optical sensor in either one to cause a cel code 9 (cylinder sensor i think),yes there was some oil in dizzy,but not a lot. Thx.

Not optical, but variable reluctor...and yes, inside the distributor is where that sensor is.

would that cause a cle code 9 & would that cause car to run rich & sometimes have an irratic idle? Thx

The only thing that the sensors in the dizzy will really affect is the car running and the firing usually not how lean or rich it runs, that usually o2 sensor or coolant temp sensor
