People who have HID on their car (97-01)
I had 8k hid's' on my 00 gsr and they were bright but useless compared to the 6k's I put in my 94 ls.
to level, park on flat ground, stand back maybe a foot from the headlights and line them up with your kneecaps

pnp kits on stock headlights are worthless if you looking for good amount of productive light that will illuminate the road and not air
if you want your car to stand out with bright lights save it for a show car as it's already been mentioned. stock headlights are not mean to reflect the amount of light hid bulb produces, most of the light will scatter going all over the place so as much as you try to adjust them you will not get any near results as the headlights specifically made for hid bulb
i would advise you to look into retrofitting your headlights with hid projectors, then you will definitely see the difference. also 4300K bulb is proven to output more productive light, anything higher only shifts to color close to blue which makes it look "whiter". with 4300k bulb you can still get an effect of blue by adjusting the lens distance from the reflector to get a prism effect to show light spectrum, although the major light will remain blue

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
I had PNPs on my 99 GSR and they actually worked really well. I'm very picky about light beams...and I have a S2000 so I know what a good beam looks like.
The Integra's projectors aren't really all that great, but my HID beam was very nice with very little light escaping. They also covered a little more area than stock...it was a nice flat beam. They didn't blind anyone...I'm very conscious to that since my eyes are sensitive to glare....and because I have A.D.D. and will follow a bright light. Since I hate being blinded, I won't do anything that's blinding to anyone else.
I had someone else drive my GSR towards me while I drove my S2000 towards them. No blinding.
I had 4300K (OEM style HID) so, outwardly, it looked really classy. Since it had projectors and everything, it kinda looked like a mix between my S2000 and a bimmer if you were coming at it in the dark. I don't really like anything much above 4300k...I think it makes you look like the rice burglar.
I should mention that to make my lights brighter with the stock halogens, I actually had 9005s in my low beam housing. I just went to the junkyard and pulled 9005 plugs to make it all work easily. It was a lot brighter than stock and again...did not blind anyone. Not sure it makes a difference...but I was using 9005 HIDs in my car. I'm pretty sure it makes absolutely no difference to have 9005 HIDs, except for the plug though.

i wish i had the bubble gauge on my jdm hid's.
so hard to adjust, and i swear i dont see a difference when i mess with the horizontal . Get flashed all the time, really annoying.

I NEVER use the bubble level on my car, mainly because that only works if you're parked on completely flat ground. That's almost non-existent, because almost all ground surfaces have some slope to drain water.
I park 25 ft. back from a wall, measure the height to the center of the projector lens, and then measure the lower side of the cutoff so that it hits the wall 2" below the projector height.
And yes, stock Integra projectors suck for HID. The beam pattern is very narrow, and has massive hotspots, putting most of the light on the ground 50 feet in front of the car, where it's totally useless at speed.

None of them. All HID kits are junk IMHO. It's not just the quality of the actual kit, but also the poor light output you get when using OEM Integra halogen projectors.

Most cost-effective option would be to get HIR 9012 bulbs, which replaces regular halogen 9006 bulbs. You get nearly twice the brightness while drawing the same current as a 9006 bulb. www.hirheadlights.com
Otherwise, for the absolute best light output possible, you need to replace the original halogen projectors inside the headlight housings with OE HID projectors from another vehicle. That way you get optics designed specifically for HID. If you get high-end projectors like from an S2000, you can get lighting like this (not my car):

omg... damn man, my old 9005 conversion was brighter than that!
Besides being dim, note how narrow the beam pattern is compared to the S2K retrofit in the Integra pictured above.

ew.. save up about $800 and you can get all the stuff needed for a retrofit.
couple people on the forum can do the service for you. well worth it
stop blinding people on the road with the glare

for 60$ shipped, pnp kit is the way to go. ebay kits have proven to work for me for the last 5 or so kits ive had. i had 5-6k on both my integras, civic, and mr2. it definately beats stock, puts out alot more light. but like mention above the lighting is narrow, but its much brighter than stock. for 60$, definately worth it
$160 Digital 55w slim kit is the best I've found so far. I don't have the money for a "proper" retrofit right now. For the money and ease of install, I say this was a good buy. And these photos were adjusted so they don't look brighter than they really appear in person.

Not too shabby at all. I did recently switch to a 6000k pair of bulbs because the pure white of the 5000k were a little boring for me. The 6000k from this company isn't anything bluer than a stock s2k beam, which has just the right amount of color. And my cutoff has a sweet blue line running across it...that's important to a lot of people
