Default 96 accord ex engine bay clean up

96 honda accord ex f22b1

im wondering what else i can remove from my engine bay that really is not needed for the car to work. my main goal is to cleanup the look of my engine bay and to lose some weight.

ive already removed:
a/c
power steering
stock intake resonators
egr system
solenoid on the stock air box

once i get the parts im gonna relocate the battery to the trunk.

was wondering about the solenoid directly behind the plenum. i think ive read that it is a stabilizer for the rear engine mount.

also my car is a coupe and ive already turned it into a 2 seater. are the mounts the rear seat sat on and the rear deck needed to keep the car stabilized or can they be removed.

looking for any ideas or suggestions

just blocked off the manifold with a metal plate and removed the valve and a little hose mount and plugged the holes. i wasn't sure about removing the part on the drivers side of the engine that has the electrical connector going to it.

so where the car is registered it does not require a smog or emission test.
or is this a RACE car ?
i dont think removing those items is going to make a real difference that you can feel.so you make have shaved off what maybe 15 lbs ?

pulled the fuse box through the fire wall. duh i know removing a few things out of my car isn't gonna give it 20hp. i want the engine bay to look more professional. its more of i small hobby then me trying to make my car fast as hell. right now i have no money so im well aware that im stuck at my current hp/torque

a question about extending wires. it seems most of the wires that go to the sensors etc are the same size. what type of wire do i need to use to extend these wires to make some relocations easier

The same size that you are replacing/adding onto...................do you require a guage#?

5-15 amp = 18 guage
18-24 amp = 16 gauge
30 amp = 14 guage
40 amp = 12 guage

*Note*
These are approximate wire sizes based on a 7-10 ft length of wire. Best to match it to what came stock if your not sure.
