idle problem

Default idle problem

i have a 99 em1 with a b20 swap and it has a horrible idle problem it goes from 1000 to 3000 rpms can anyone help me with this problem

i have the same problem, but my revs 1000 to 2000 i think its the vac and i did my b16a swap this weekend.

try checking the distur.... or the throttle...?

check vacuum lines ( or places could leak), idle air control valve, and the throttle body. I had the same problem with the gsr in my hatch. It idled at 1000-3500 rpm when cold and 1000-2300 when warm with no check engine light. The bottom portion of my throttle body where the coolant runs through has a housing with a float inside of it. When I took it apart The float inside rattled around loosely when I shook it. The housing to the metering device is plastic and it is threaded and some how it back it self off. I threaded back in as much as i could with a flat head. I put it back together and now it idles normal.
