Callos Front End- What are you guys doing for Tow Hooks?
In the event of a parts breakage that requires the track officials to pull your car, what are you guys with Callos front ends doing? The tow hooks on my traction bar hang way above my front end so pull it by them is sure to damage the front end. Just wanted to see what everyone else has done.

I did a cool one that came off some holes in the front of the car and had a ball lock pin to hold the hook in so it could come on and off with the tow strap.
Oh, I do know this may not help your problem specifically but it may spark some ideas.

Well with the Callos 3pc front end ryans idea can be used it would just have to be modified to fit.
Depends on the setup, you would have to see what areas you can connect something to that can you can attach a mount.
Lets see other ideas!
check this thread. pretty neat idea for front tow hook.

Can you attach the cup for Ryan's hook long the bottom of the front radiator support ?
It's less then 3/4" thick.
Another thought was put it on top of the radiator support and just open the hood, plug in the tow hook, when it needed to be towed.
You could weld a receiver bushing into the support.

I dont trust my core support for pulling the car. Definitly need something that attaches to the traction bar or something hot rod style. Just want to see what others have done already.
I agree with you on that. The plate rota made for that mount it pretty thick steel and it bolts in three places and that actually started bending the metal on the car from being towed.
search tow hook on their site and it will come up.

Yea you can get something like that not only from Bickel but Quartermax, VP etc. all of them their own style. Some are cooler than others but it's all the same concept.
do you happen to have some pics of that setup? Thanks/salamat.
Vanishing Point Racecars Tow hook kit

these kits use a quick pin and a specially machined reciever for it, so it does not "pop out" when getting tugged on.

Cloth isn't drag racer approved
Plus, when you say cloth tow hook to a drag racer you'll have all the idiots tying T-shirts to their cars.
I'll be using the Vanishing Point setup on my car, it's super cheap
