I've looked around and found that jdmsh!t sells 2 types of lips, one being abs plastic and the other polyurethane. The abs plastic cost less compared to the polyurethane one but I think the style is similar. If you were in my shoes, would you buy the abs or the polyurethane one?

Inputs greatly appreciated.

POLYURETHANE... it can take a beating and mounts alot easier

 

get the polyurethane, it last much longer than the abs.

i used to have a abs front lip and it broke into 2 pieces.

Those lips are trash. They fit like JDMSH!T.

 

^^ agreed, i got they're 97 type r lip and that thing was about a 1/4" short and it didn't sit flush with the bumper. spent way too time getting it to fit then i wanted to.

 

Check out streetstylers, one of TIs sponsors. They have good quality itr replica lips, and most of the people that bought for them can vouch how fit they are. Their only problem is with how long it takes for your order to actually reach you. Don't get me wrong, they don't flake out on an order or anything, their shipping just takes long. Persoanlly thats where I'm getting my lip from so its an option for you.

 

Polyurethane is definately the way to go!!!

Had a ABS lip on my jetta and shattered it in the winter.

I bought a Password JDM ITR replica lip and it fits real nice. $215 shipped and you will have it in a week...

 

X2 on the poly.. my earlier abs one broke after hitting the curb a bit.

not sure if any one of you notice. but if you are trying to buy a type-r lip be sure you dont buy the type-r STYLE lip. Get the USDM type-r REPLICA lip. Notice the type-r style lip flares out a bit too much on the corners of the bumper and it looks ugly IMO. OEM STYLE lip is much much better.

 

All itr replica lips are the same. You are referring to the ctr replica lip, which is the one that flares out

 

yeah that's the only reason i bought jdmshit because they didn't flare out like a si lip

 

bought an abs lip for my DA from jdmsh!t and its not the best fit on the corners near the wheel wells. plus mine cracked only after about a week of driving. im assuming that it was from catching some pavement as i was pulling out of a steep driveway.

 

JDMShit poly lips are trash!

horrible fitment, rough with a lot of material all around that needs to be trimmed so u can't keep it unpainted cause it looks like crap after u trim everything off. they used to advertise it as "indestructible" when i bought one, but it cracked on the first rock

 

i would never buy jdmshit anymore, shitty cust service, and lip cracked in less than a week

 

yeah, jdmshit isn't what they used to be. as said above, customer service sucks, and the quality in some of their stuff isn't all that great.

 

Really, unless its OEM, you're not going to be fully satisfied. Online OEM acura parts website like OEMACURAPARTS.COM still advertise the OEM lips being forsale. I was going get one I dropped 700 bucks in repairs/suspension in my car. Call them.

 

i got my itr style lip off of ebay and couldn't be happpier. Only paid 58$!!
