Default Need help removing factory alarm on accord and installing compustar with immobilizer

I'm about to installcompustar pro 2w900 series on 98 honda accord lx and 2000 honda accord lx

1. i have couple questions. For immobilizer bypass should I use Directed 556HW or ADS-TBSL-HA iDatalink?

2. I have factory alarms on both cars, 98 has one without the trunk pop and 2000 has the one with trunk pop and panic button plus some weird 6 key keypad I assume to bypass the alarm?. How do I disable or remove factory alarms on these cars?

please help!

if I remember correctly it should be a blue wire under the driver dash were the alarm module is at.

I am not familiar with compustar but check the manual if it has a factory disarm output.

Use the Compustar to arm/disarm the stock alarm system, only one extra connection to make, factory alarm disarm...

"on the LX Model the wire is located at the KEYLESS/SECURITY Module attached to the DRIVERS UNDERDASH PANEL." 94

If you are pressed for time and do not want to run a wire into the door to kill the factory alarm. You can unplug the factory alarm from the driver door lock by pulling the driver door pannel and depin it. Very easy to do and time saving on labor.

None of the ones listed need keys, the reference to "1key" is that you only need one key to program the bypass module, most Fortin programmable bypass modules need two/both keys to program them.

You will not need to give up a key. 94

you do not need to worry about the door locks modual. The alarm is controls the factory keyless entry. Both cars share the same harness so the install will be almost the same.

thanks!

well.. i couldn't wait to order idatalink online since noone has it locally... so i ended up getting xk05

now... my cm5000 has rs232 port.. xk05 has d2d.. i don't want to risk damaging alarm brain.. so i guess i should take it back

also, i can't figure out how to connect it traditional way. there is no port on alarm module for ground input for when car is running

The Compustar has a GWR output, should be CN2/2 black (-) status output. 94

I have done this before. you don't need to remove the stock alarm, just don't use it, as long as the stock alarm doesn't arm its self you can leave it there. just remember if you lock the car with the key in the door the oem alarm will activate.

i ended up exchanging for datalink modules.. wow.. only 3 wires to connect the rest plugs right into compustar and no programming required.. we'll see how it works

another question.. do i connect ACC wire to yellow or white black? i'm not sure if its acc1 or acc2 that i need to tap into

You will need to connect both acc.1, [yellow] and acc.2, [white/black]. 94

If it is a Compustar one of the pre-wired relays can be used as accessory, plug the white/black lead, [CN2/4 (-) accessory output] into the pigtail of the pre-wired relay. 94

Sorry, my mistake, [edited] it is not 2nd ign. you need, it is 2nd acc., [as you asked] for a 98 Accord it is indicated that 2nd. acc. is needed for blower motor, [heat/defrost/AC]...
