Dropped my car and its even taller now!! Help!!
oki so a friend just bought this 95 integra Ls coupe. He asked for me to help him drop it with some coild overs the seller gave him. so i installed the sleeves and once with got the car off of the jack stands the car sits even taller!! I checked under and the springs dont even have any tention on them. the car is sitting up very high and not even sitting on the springs. seems as if i could completely remove the shocks and springs and it would still sit the same. Its late to keep messing with it. let me know if you guys have any advice i'd REALLY appreciate it!
do u got the shocks in right? are they bolted down correctly under the hood? oh and check that u pushed the shock all the way down at the bottom were u tighten it(i think its the wheel hub)
Never heard of this problem, i got NRG sleeve coil overs and they sit just fine,
i run tokico blues with 1" extended strut mounts. im riding low and got great soft ride, and coil overs do not have fron or back left or right, sleeved coil overs are all the same. you can shuffle them all the way around and they will work just fine. maybe your struts are messed up or you jammed your bolt-in locations and you shock cant compress check the set up once more.

I've done this tons of time believe me i know the setup should work fine. the problem is as if the lower control arms are being pushed down by something. the car is sitting on the ground and the springs are just loose not even doing anything

i will man. the guy that sold it him says he swapped everything over to gsr so im wondering maybehe swapped over the sway bar and some how put it on wrong.
well i was thinking MAYBE it was installed wrong or missing something therefore pushing the lower control arms down in some weird way. but ill be jacking it up tomorrow morning hopefully i find something. this has me all messed up.
no way this is put together correctly. no way. can't be. cause if you think about it, your telling us that the strut is stronger than the ****ing spring? impossible.
lol thats not what im saying. putting a spring on a strut and putting into a car is NOT rocket science. its binding on something and i honestly just do NOT know what it is. i've taken suspension apart millions of times and i have NEVER had a situation like this. which is why im asking on here. tomorrow ill get my boy back over here and ill take some pics.
Thing is how many different ways could you put this together that something like this would happen? some ppl mentioning that maybe i put the sleeve on top of the spring? even if i did it would still lower the car. you cant confuse front and rear shocks/struts.
tell me how could this be put together to the point where it would sit high? and if the strut was bad/dead it would just not hold at all. and i doubt both the struts went out the same way. or that for some reason i put both struts together the exact same wrong way. dunno. im stumped. i see where you guys are coming from and believe me im just as confused.

Are the sleeves height adjustable like ground control sleeves? If it is, maybe you need to turn the adjustment ring the other direction. When I first installed mine, I thought the way I was turning the adjustment ring lowered the car when it was actually raising it up.
well they aren't like ground controls but regardless the car is not even sitting on the springs so its not an adjustment problem. thanks for the idea though
are the struts siezed up?
did you test their travel b4 installing them?
show us a picture please
even if you figure it out, PLEASE post a pic of it as it is now
I gotta see what is doing this, I would hate to get stuck on this myself
I am going to be disassembling my front susp (replacing rotten bushings and mounts) soon so this will be directly applicable
