yes you need the ecu that came w/ the motor your buying.
you also need a vtec sub harness you can get one at rywire.com
I am currently in the middle of this swap myself and dont recomend doing it oyurself if you dont know what an ecu does.. no offence but it has take me a week to get the old motor out and the new one ready to go in

p13 auto ecu is what you need for your h22a motor.

You also need vtec solinoid and some minor wiring amongst a few other little things. The 95si chasis should be prewired for vtec in the harness I believe, you'd just have to add a few wires I think from the harness to the solinoid.

Should sell both auto tranies, and old h23 motor, than buy a manual tranny with a manual p13 ecu instead.

Doing the very same swap! Get an H22A OBDI motor P13 Auto ECU and this one is crucial you need a P19 or P0N TCU (transmission control unit) without this you will shift at 6700RPM (barely in VTEC) rather than 7600RPM (hello VTEC).

From Another Post:http://preludepower.com/forums/showt...t=h23+h22+swap

"If you're lucky, many +93 USDM Prelude Si's come already wired for VTEC. You will notice that in the A4 and D6 slots there already exists a green and yellow, and a light blue wire. If this is the case, then it is easier for you. The end of the VTEC Solenoid (green and yellow) wire comes out at the passenger strut tower. It's near the area where your intake pipe crosses the battery and the strut tower. You will find a green and yellow wire that comes out of a bundle of wires.

The VTEC solenoid wire comes out and ends right at that connector. It doesn't connect to anything. You can either use that connector, or splice the wire.

The pressure switch (light blue) wire is near the fuse box. In that one of the two bundles of wires that comes out of the firewall, to the right of the fuse box, you will find a light blue wire. You'll know its the pressure switch wire because it connects into a terminal but doesn't come out of the other side."
