j/w if i made this scoop above my header... is it ok driving in the rain???

if not.. how about with a stock header with cover???

 

rain wont hurt your header. maybe make it rust sooner, but...as long as you arent soaking your electrical stuff in water, you should be fine.

I used to have a hood like that, and it came with a fiberglass panel to cover the vent from the inside, i wouldnt worry about rain getting in, but its nice to have that cover, you could make a simple one for cheap probably
