sohc question. obd2a//obd2b confusee??

sohc question. obd2a//obd2b confusee??
i just pick up a 96 sohc y7 complete swap but it doesnt come with the harness. and im guessing the harness is a obd2a. correct me if im wrong. well buddy got a obd2b harness w/ ecu for me if i run that will i be able to pass smog? or i cant run a obd2b because they got extra sensor and stuff or idk? helpp

First off, don't bump your thread every 10 minutes.
What harness and ECU you use depends on what year the chassis is. If its a '96 - '98 civic use a '96 - '98 harness and ECU. If its a '99 - '00 civic use a '99 - '00 harness and ECU.
