so i got one of those 5 in tach's from my friend......cuz i have a 97 dx hatch....it doesnt come with a tach thats why....can some one please explaine how it works??? how do i run it? do i have to take the cluster off? it only has 4 wires....please and thank you!

Just get an EX or Si OEM cluster, Its plug and play. Those both come with a tach.
Dont put that Dinner plate tach in your car.

Get the model number and everything and google online for the in installation guide on it. unless u buy a new one with instruction. These guys won't help you here. they will just tell u not to put it and try in tell you what to do like its their dam car. To much BS.

 

I put the EX cluster in my DX. The plugs required were already there I just plugged the tach in. Looks OEM and the tach functions great. If not, you could always check this guide out.

i dont think theres anything wrong with puting an after market tach auto meter etc im all for it i ust to have a tach in my civic untill i got harassd by the cops
