Default Is it an Si?

Came upon a 92-95 hatchback at a local junkyard that looks beat up but with all its parts. Not sure if the moonroof was an add on. How can one tell if this is an Si model? What are the tells of an Si? It has no engine either.

I think you are thinking of the 99-00 SI. Not the same as he is talking about.

OP, The 92-95 Hatch SI did come standard with the Sunroof as well as all the power options(Locks, Windows).

If its still got the Factory Gauge cluster in it look for a 7200RPM redline.

92-95 SI's did come with rear disc brakes and my CX says eh2 so that is not a sign that its an si.

Holy crap, h-t is full of idiots now.

Things to check:
Rear brakes
Sunroof
Speakers in the back
The vin will have EH3 on it

I'm forgetting some things.

Thank you!

A stock moonroof is easy to identify.

Look at the roof panel and the glass panel (might be easiest if the glass is open, but not needed).

The glass will have a rubber seal on it. (An aftermarket unit would have a seal on the roof skin too.)

The roof skin will "curl" in around the hole for the moonroof. (An aftermarket one would just have a clean cut covered up by a rubber seal.)

So that's the easy way to tell if a moonroof/sunroof is stock.

The EH3 within the VIN is the sure-fire way to tell.

We can all get into an argument about how the Si did NOT have power door locks, power windows, or even a freaking stereo head unit (these were dealer added, NOT from the factory) but that would probably be besides the point, right?

Especially since many of those parts could be gone from the car at this point.
