Got the Code 9 on my D16Y8 with P28 ECU on 92 HB CX (engine is from 97). Need help...Did a search on the topic and didn't get a really clear answer (sorry if its a repost). I understand that the CYP Code 9 may require a new dizzy, but do I need to replace the whole thing or just the cap? Also, one posting mentioned fixing 2 wires in the dizzy, and didn't know what two wires I need to check.

Car is burning rich, misses slightly. When idling, the rpms jump to 2000 back to1000. It will stop if i rev the engine. Car hasn't stalled and starts ok.

im pretty sure its a sensor inside the dizzy but they dont sell it seperately, swap it out with a known good one and see if that helps
