Default number one cylinder

when doing the timing, it says put the motor to TDC. when facing the motor is the left cylinder the number 1 cylinder? please correct me if i'm wrong

Cyl 1 is all the way to the right side (driver side).

True, the first cyclinder is on the timing side. From right to left its, cam gears 1- to distr 4.
