need help on crank pulley bolt!

Default need help on crank pulley bolt!

im having problem getting a B series crank pulley bolt out to change dam timing belt & water pump....i'd try heating up bolt & shot it a couple times with air compressor gun try tighting it then losing with the air gun still no luck...motor in on the floor that bolt just wont want to let go...any help will be thankful....

You need a breaker bar & a special crank pulley holder tool.
Do a search, you will find pictures of what I am speaking of.

Pour oil into the fitting of the impact gun before you put the hose on it and crank it up. If you are using a cheapo impact gun, doubt that will help. Otherwise take it to someone with a real impact.

dude, i've f'd around with this bolt for 11 years and i finaly bought the right tool for the job: http://www.amazon.com/Powerbuilt-648...1330889&sr=8-1

get that and a 1/2" breaker bar + a buddy to hold it, no more problums. trust me, there are other ways to get it off, but the right way is always the best bet. i'll never try to do it with out this tool again.
